Danby 54-Bottle Dual Zone Built-In or Freestanding Wine Cooler Review

(More customer reviews)I enjoyed this cooler for about a year even though it did struggle to maintain temperatures. Then it finally quit maintaining temperatures all together. I contacted Danby and they sent out an 'in home service' technician. It was determined it needed a new control card. To make a long story short, 6 months, 3 control cards and a transformer later, I was issued a refund in the form of a gift card for the big box store in which I made the purchase. I had to ask for the refund to stop the insanity of repeated attempts of replacing a card 3 times and expecting a different result. Danby customer service is horrible. Call their service number and it is no less than a 30 min on hold wait to speak to someone. Forget about a returned call. I was told they would get back with me only to never get the return call. After a little research, I found that the temperature control issues is a chronic problem among several of their models.

i even had my plummer come back and nake sure that it was hooked up porperly.
i do not recommend this product.

(More customer reviews)They're so small and innocuous-looking in the package. But open 'em up, get 'em near an appliance and BAM! Those little suckers slammed onto the Frigidaire with such force that I was genuinely startled. They're so tiny that my husband has trouble prying them up with his big, meaty fingers. As magnets go, they come highly recommended. Obviously not for the wee ones who haven't yet learned not to stick inedible objects in their various orifices.

Bodum Canteen Double-Wall Cooler/Beer Glasses, Set of 2 Review

(More customer reviews)In my never-ending need to own fancy things, I foolishly bought these glasses when they were first released, for even more than they cost now (although they are still expensive). Folks, please stick with plastic insulated glasses! I know that plastic is tacky, but some things are just more trouble than they are worth. You WILL BREAK these glasses, no matter how hard you try not to, so maybe its a good deal that Amazon is presently offering a deal on them.
In short: these glasses are easier to break than my Riedel Bordeaux glasses (in other words, FRAGILE); the glasses allow water to seep into the small hole on the bottom during hand washing, which is ugly (the tiny hole on the bottom of the glass prevents the glass from cracking due to rapid temperature changes); and dropping ice into the glasses or using too hot or cold a beverage will crack them. The only upside is they look nice for awhile (until water seeps in, or a hair line crack appears).
My first set was crushed in shipment. Amazon had not wrapped it in bubble wrap or anything else, and the Bodum box is severely lacking in built-in protection. Amazon DID ship new ones right away.
Save yourself the trouble of worrying about and dealing with these glasses! Pretty enough for awhile, you will find yourself so worried about ruining these expensive glasses that you will sit them on your shelves and simply stare at them. I really am sorry to say this... I don't give many negative reviews, and I generally like Bodum products.

(More customer reviews)I live in a one-bedroom unit in a massive apartment building with 6 laundry machines in the basement. I did not buy this unit from Amazon but rather from a Chinese electronics dealer in my area. Haier is very popular in China and the machine came highly recommended by the dealer.
The dealer delivered it to me, set it up and away we went. I have had this unit for about a month and here are my comments:
1) The unit is quieter than a traditional laundry machine.
2) I have had no problems with balancing the machine or with water intake. It fills quickly so long as there is high water pressure. The machine balances itself by stopping and starting until the clothes are balanced.
3) The high water level can accommodate a lot of clothes. I do about 3 loads a week: shirts/undies, pants, and towels.
4)It uses a lot less soap than traditional washers (about half I would say)
5)The regular wash runs for about 45 mins which I found excessive. The quickwash runs for about 22 minutes and I find that my clothes are perfectly clean. I only use the regular wash for very soiled items.
6) My unit came with casters so I had no problem. You may also buy casters at the hardware store... the casters are fairly standard.
7) Hooking it up to the sink did require a trip to the hardware store but it was easy to find the adapter as I brought the intake hose with me.
