(More customer reviews)I wasn't sure if the magnet would be strong enough. I was worried it would fall off the wall every time I tried to break off a towel. But it turned out to be fine. It doesn't even slip up and down, it sticks onto my fridge so well that you need 2 hands to remove it.
Some of the other models look more attractive but I really think the way this one blends in with a white fridge is better than a decorative option, it pretty much disappears.

(More customer reviews)This product claims to be the strongest available, yet it is very weak and cheap. The magnets slide don't my refrigerator and I even have other magnets under it to help hold it up, the roll of paper towel I am using is a skinny roll and still that does NOT help:( I was sooo exicted when I 1st saw this item because I thought it would be perfect for my condo and to save space, but it stinks! SO My suggestion is save your MONEY and deal with what you have. Good luck, I hope this review helped someone because no one warned me and I wish they had.

(More customer reviews)This set of magnetic hooks will not work on textured metal surfaces. I bought it to use on my Fridge (with a textured surface) and with any weight at all it just slides to the floor. I bought a set of individual "rare earth" magnet hooks that are 1/4 the size of the magnets on this thing and each of them will hold four-times the weight (for less than 1/3 the money for 8 hooks). If you are looking to mount this on a smooth surface it MIGHT work, but I wouldn't take the chance if I were you.
