The magnet strip is not attached to the pad, so one can use this item as a magnetic pad (probably for the fridge) or as a pad to keep on desk or counter.
Each page has the colorful, vivid picture of the mad bluebird on top. I like that the writing portion of each page is not solid white but is speckled subtely, sort of like a bird's egg.
This is not an inexpensive item to buy online. I bought mine from the local Ace's bird department, still pricey but cheaper than here.
