(More customer reviews)I purchased this frig about two years ago. The feed tube to the water dispenser continuously freezes. Water is leaking from the freezer door damaging our kitchen floor. If you're mechanically inclined you'll find plenty of web sites with ideas to keep this junk running. A true testament to the quality of this machine. Otherwise, GE will direct you to a qualified repair technician who will gladly solve your problem for a small fee and look forward to the return business.
Stay away!

GE Profile : PFSF2MIYWW 22.2 cu.ft. Bottom Freezer Refrigerator - White Review

(More customer reviews)I bought his 2 years and 4 days ago. All was well until 7 weeks ago. Since then I have had to have 4 repairmen out to fix 3 different problems, to the tune of almost $1000 in repairs. Needless to say, it is a HUGE hassle to have to "be home between 1-5pm" every few days. Repair men were at my house 3 times in just the past 7 days. Today it defrosted all over my new hardwood floor, pouring about a quart of water all over everything.
I am writing GE to ask for a replacement as a $1700 appliance should last more than 2 years. I have a 20 year old fridge in my garage that runs great!
I would look to another brand.
Oh, one more thing, every repairman has told me that they have nothing but trouble with GE! Hey, GE, get a clue!

The crisper drawers had to be replaced within the first 3 months. The freezer frosts up without warning and nothing can be done to prevent it.Thick frost on everything. Lemon.

GE FXUTC SmartWater Undersink Filter Replacement Cartridge Review

(More customer reviews)I moved into a new condo last year and the people that sold me it told me about the filter system under the sink, which has worked great. They said to replace it in about six months, and I finally got around to doing it. When I got online, I saw that they had Good, Better, and Best. I thought about going with the top of the line, but tap water in NYC is very good anyway, so figured I'd just get the cheapest to start. Replacement was pretty straightforward and I didn't need any special tools.
In all honesty, I didn't notice much of a difference in the TASTE between the old filter and the new, but I'm not sure that anyone would be able too. The stuff it's filtering out is probably microparticles that we can't really detect.
But what I DID notice, was that the flow of water through the special water spout (which is separate from the main faucet) came out much stronger. So that tells me that the old one was gunked up a bit and that it worked.
Bottom line, it shipped on time, did what it said it would, and I'll order again when I need to.

(More customer reviews)We've had this model for 7 years. Will replace it with a CEE Tier-3 in a kitchen remodel because it doesn't appear to be energy-star, let alone CEE Tiers 1-3. If energy efficiency is not an issue, it's been totally reliable, with plenty of room for pitchers of water, milk, OJ, soymilk, weekly supply of fresh veggies, and the weekly leftovers. Lots of door storage. Freezer handles pizza boxes easily. I did remove all the clear plastic bins which I found constraining, so we've basically got three open shelves in the fridge where we find everything quickly. I'd keep it if it were counter-depth, but it is 31 5/8 inches deep wi/out handle, 32 7/8 inches wide, & 66 7/8 high. The most efficient refrigerators on the market (side-by-sides) run $1400; better value to pay a bit more and get one of those. The refrigerator is the most energy-consuming appliance in the kitchen.
