(More customer reviews)I have a set of two cup glass containers I purchased for my husband to pack leftovers in for work. I have been disappointed in their performance thus far. The glass edges have chipped from normal use and the lids are starting to crack and in some cases tear across the top. I have used these about 6 months. On the other hand I have had pyrex bowls with plastic lids for years and they are still going strong. No chipping and no cracking or tearing of lids! I would recommend Pyrex over Anchor it is worth the extra money.

Tupperware Hot Dog Keeper / Bacon Storage Container (Red) Review

However, storing it this way leads to icky, slimy condensation buildup. This container is perfect. My bacon fits perfectly and stays fresher longer. Great price on a hard to find item.

Glasslock Food Storage Container- 8 Cup-rect. Review

(More customer reviews)I was shopping for Pyrix which is also an excellent product but selected Glasslock instead.
Con: Price (what affected rating) - but you get what you pay for and will provide many years of use. These are glass so breakable. Not as wide a selection as the plastic Snapware or Pyrix.
Pro:Excellent product. I purchased the 8 cup, 4.6 cup, and 1.7 cup rectagles and they stack together nicely, but will mostly be in use rather than stacked away. I was looking at Pyrix but found the lid on Snapware were much easier to use and fit tightly. The glass is more stout than Pyrix. Pyrix is now has some silicone on high end products and but not lids yet- I will hold off on Pyrix until they offer Silicone lids. The clear see- thru Silicone lids provide a much better fit and easier to use than plastic. Anyone can easily manage these lids. Attempting to do away with old plastic storage for everyday use. Purchased at BB&B. The 4.6 cup size will get the most use and is a good size if you want just one. I hope this review is helpful! :)

(More customer reviews)The idea behind these plastic lids is great, and for many applications will be fine--but be aware that for thin liquids, you may experience some leakage unless you really crank them down tightly. I bought them for an application where the jars contain a very thin liquid (pure alcohol) and need to be shaken daily. I have to be careful not to shake them too hard, or leave them inverted for even a moment, or they DO leak.

I just love these things! I have had this set for about 4 years and not one has broken. I use them for chips as well as freezer items.

CorningWare French White 6-Piece Cooking and Baking Set Review

(More customer reviews)I've owned French White for years and years, and they were the first casserole dish I always reached for. We had a mishap, broke my 10+ year old large oval casserole and replaced it with a new full set.
What a disappointment!!! CorningWare has changed something in their process or raw materials. The new dishes have tiny little "pits" in them that allows water to penetrate underneath the glaze. It looks unsightly when serving. The heft and feel aren't the same. Neither is the quality. You can tell the new pieces, as the bottoms have a ridge molded into the base. The older pieces are completely flat.
Using the new large oval dish, my adult daughter removed a full dish on lasagna from the oven and set it on a room temperature (burners turned off)stove top to cool. The dish shattered into pieces, and we had to throw everything out. CorningWare sent a replacement at no charge. The new dish has the same defects as the one that shattered.
I've been shopping at thrift stores and have managed to find older pieces. So disappointing the manufacture has cheapened/changed what was once a fabulous can't-live-without product.

(More customer reviews)I have had difficulty in the past storing and transporting deviled eggs. The Tupperware Cold Keeper with Deviled Egg Trays was the answer to my problem. It has three individual trays, which each hold eight deviled eggs. The trays fit neatly into a lidded container, which seals well. The container appears to be deep enough to allow ice to be placed beneath the trays with the lid intact, though I have yet to attempt this potential method of keeping the deviled eggs cool outside of a refrigerator. The product is of high quality and I expect it to last for many years. I regret that it was made in Mexico, but I am not aware of an American-made product which is similar to this one.

Because I do not like to microwave in plastic, something glass and with lids was ideal. I have not had the problems with the lids seeming cheap or leaky at all and the bowls nest nicely so they take up very little space. I freeze food in cubes and then use these dishes to warm and serve or keep food fresh in the fridge. Ideal!

I was hoping with new types of heat resistant plastics that this problem would no longer be an issue. I sent my husband off with a bowl of pasta in tomato sauce and I was upset to see that my new bowl was ruined by the heat and had reddish sauce embedded at the broken down plastic level. I did purchase several different sizes and have been very useful with food storage and keeps the food fresh for quite some time. Just need to make them more heat resistant and less absorbable of sauces and such. Then it would be a perfect product. They also stack very nicely and wash up well under normal use. Don't heat on high!
