(More customer reviews)This is a must have if traveling with a 12V Thermoelectric Cooler, or any 12 volt appliance that you will need when out of your vehicle. That could be for a overnight motel stay or for an extended stay without a direct 12V power source. All you need is a 110 volt wall outlet.
I have used this use this on my Koolatron Voyager Thermoelectric Cooler - P-27 as well as my B & D cooler for quite a few years now with no problems.
This converter is compatible with B&D cooler's, but will also work well with most other coolers and 12V appliances provided they don't have over a 6 amp power draw, " Most are under 6 amp ". This works well for pre cooling your cooler before putting it in your vehicle. It also has a green LED light to let you know it is on.
The Converter will get quite warm when in use this is normal, all converters do it. When you buy a converter make sure it is 6 Amp, much less than that probably won't work on some larger appliances.

(More customer reviews)If you want something that is going to work as a real cooler this isn't it. It is just suitable for eye candy and nostalgia. It is made out of pretty sturdy metal and the "cooler" liner has about an inch of spray foam insulation between it and the outer shell. I know this because I removed all of it as I am using this product to hide an automobile battery in a street rod. Anyway it is nice to look at and brings back memories could be a conversation piece at a picnic or get together but it isn't a very good as a cooler. It works great for hiding my battery in my 1937 Pontiac trunk exactly what I expected and needed for my purpose.

(More customer reviews)I bought a Wagan Thermo Cooler, and took it on a long drive, and it drained my car battery dead overnight. Further, it doesn't cool very well (much faster to cool initially using ice bricks), and the net cooling effect isn't that good on a hot day (30°C / 85°F and above). The size inside the cooler is also quite limited given the thick (but ineffective) insulation.
I plan to throw mine away after spending ~$90 on it as it's a waste of space.

(More customer reviews)Nicely built, lovely to look at, great built in beverage fridge. The glass door is beautifully transparent, the shelves adjustable and all items on them very accessible.
The lowest temperature setting is 40 degree Fahrenheit but the temperature swings between 44 and 40 as part of maintaining the 40 degree base setting. I wold have preferred a fridge that goes as low as 34 degrees, since beverages will warm up when retrieved from the fridge. It runs quietly and is otherwise a great built-in.

Personal 12-Can Soda Vending Machine Review

(More customer reviews)I have been running one of these by my bed for two years so I can have cold soda upstairs. It keeps the drinks at refrigerator temperatures, but if the soda is put in warm, then it might take 4-6 hours to get it really cold. It is best to chill the soda in the fridge first, and then put it in. The advantage of this kind of unit over a compressor unit is that it is much smaller and quiter. It uses Peltier junction electronic cooling and a 12v fan.
The problem is that it draws much more current then the 50W power supply provides. The original power supply partly melted when it gave out after about 6 months. You need a 12V DC power supply of at least 80W, and 110W would be better. These can be bought on the Web for $40-$50. Just splice the new AC Adapter onto the original power cord. Obviously, if you've never repaired or modified a small appliance, this is not for you. But if you have some experience with wiring, this is really easy. It's really nice to have chilled soda with such a quiet machine and such a small footprint.

Haier Compact Refridgerator and Freezer Review

-decent interior space
-looks okay
-has a freezer compartment
Cons:
-way too loud for any bedroom (wakes you up at night)
-almost always on
-tendency for freezer contents to suddenly melt at random times (even on power 4, without ever opening the fridge throughout the day)
-water spills due to aforementioned freezer melting
-turning it on for first time will fill room with fumes that cause headache and bloody-nose, and these fumes are present for about 2 days (even if you follow the instructions in manual, and keep unit turned off for 24 hours in upright position before first using it). They could get sued mightily for this, as we almost passed out from these fumes.
-runs super hot - will warm up a room like having two additional computers (about 10 degrees f.)
-makes obnoxious clicking sound when turning on/off throughout the day or night
-always makes annoying "breathing" sounds
-carton-holder in door can't fit a standard-sized carton (seriously, this is ridiculous)
-machinery in back looks like third-rate transformers that uncle Bob duct-taped together

The lock seems to be slightly misaligned and not a true key lock. The other side is, it works, and that's all I needed it to do. The box on delivery was somewhat damaged, but the unit seemed fine.

(More customer reviews)After purchasing several Koolatron mini-fridges that all conked out in a couple of months, I purchased this one. It seems to keep the beverages much cooler than the other ones, but the secret is to let it rest. It says on the instructions you should unplug the unit after every 48 hours. To eliminate the inconvenience of doing this, I have it plugged into an ordinary light timer. It goes off for about an hour every night. I think that's the secret to keeping these units going. Plus the shelf inside is very convenient.

(More customer reviews)This refrigerator arrived and it looked awesome. Nice design, sturdy doors, good shelve construction. I was really excited, until I turned it on.
The "Beverage Center" does not get cold enough make a typical beverage (Pepsi, Coke, Beer, etc) cold. It's more of a Beverage Cooler. The manufacturer states that from their research people don't want cold beverages, just cool ones and there is no way to make it colder as it isn't designed to cool down to cold temperatures.
Put this product in the junk pile where it deserves to be. Complete waste of money.

(More customer reviews)As noted by other reviewers, this is neither fridge nor warmer oven. It is a "cooler/warmer" which is something I doubt anyone one wants or needs. This device has a tiny fan and maybe a little compressor and heating element. It is capable of slowing the warming of already cold items or, in the warm mode, slowing the cooling of already warm items. It is not capable of cooling warm items (like a can of soda) nor capable or warming cold items. I cannot think of any practical use for it nor I bet can many other people...which is why it is being sold by a liquidator.

(More customer reviews)I bought the fridge to be used at work in my cubicle. The fridge is so loud that my cubicle neighbors complain. I put up with the sound for one day and then abandoned it. The fridge comes with a car adapter and regular ac outlet adapter. It is too loud to be used in a cubicle but it might be good on road trips when you can crank up the radio to hide the annoying fan. I was told that the sound would be comparable to a computer fan....totally not true. More like having a 5.0L Mustang in your cube

(More customer reviews)We bought this model for use in our game room bar in July 2008. Upon delivery the temperature controller failed to work properly and the unit never cooled. The controller went completely blank in just a couple of days. The retailer refused to provide us with a new unit and sent a service technician to our house. The technician found that the wiring harness to the cooling fan had either come loose or been installed incorrectly. After connecting the wiring harness the unit began to cool but we found the digital controller still wasn't working properly. The technician asked us to use it for a couple of days to see if it worked itself out. Several days later, unable to change the temperature at all, we again called the appliance retailer and demanded a new unit. They again refused, sending the technician out again. He said he thought the entire computer was fried and needed to take the unit to his shop for service. We were without the refrigerator for three weeks while all of the electronics were replaced. When it was returned it seemed to work fine. Now, almost one year to the day after it was repaired, the temperature controller has again failed and the digital readout is blank. I expected more from a $1,000 bar refrigerator from U-Line. I would not recommend this unit based on my experience with it. Check out the Marvel or Scotsman refrigerators for roughly the same price.

Sanyo SR5600W Counter Higher Refrigerator Review

I've used mine now for over 6 months, & it has given me Great Service. I've had other smaller Mini Rrfrigerators in the past, this is the Best One so far. Positives: No Pop Can Chute; Salad Crisper Drawer, & Cubic Feet/Size. Negatives: Some Fresh Vegetables left in the Crisper Drawer can collect Moisture after 2 Days leading to Spoilage; No Door Shelf wide enough to store a Gallon Milk or Juice. I recommend this Great Refrigerator/Freezer.
