Kenmore PUR Ultimate II w/Two Stage Filteration Replacement Water Filter Review

(More customer reviews)My title pretty much said what needs saying. This filter says Kenmore and you pay over $30 more to buy it from an incompetent chain while you can just get it straight from PUR. I'm so glad I did some research after getting ripped off once by Sears for a filter with that not so wonderful Kenmore name on it.

Water Sentinel WSA-1 Replacement Fridge Filter, 3 Pack, Fits Amana Clean 'N Clear Wf40, Wf401 Review

(More customer reviews)I knew this was a generic, so that didn't bother me. The filters were shipped out quickly and received promptly. The description says these are a match for the Amana 46-9904 filter, which is the one we use in our fridge. However, when we got them, they didn't fit properly and water was spraying everywhere. On the plus side the company gave us no hassle about returning them (except we had to pay shipping back). The company was very responsive and good to work with. So the one star is for the product, not the company.

Whirlpool 2260502B CAP, WATER FILTER Review

(More customer reviews)Works fine, but I'm not sure why it's so expensive. It's molded plastic and comes without any fancy packaging (just a plastic bag). The used fridge we bought was missing this part so we had to replace it to get filtered water...someone is making out like a bandit!

My issues are that shipping was high compared to some other online vendors and it took past the expected delivery times to arrive. I had to contact Amazon to complain. Amazon then forwarded my complaint to the vendor (who apologized) and I received delivery in about 10 days after ordering.

Omnipure CL10RO-T33 GAC Inline Filter Review

(More customer reviews)I shopped around for this cartridge filter to match the original that came with my Spectra Pure RO/DI drinking water system. I am completely satisfied, it helps make the water taste and odor fresher. We use the water for cooking and beverages, I live in a part of the country that has extreemly hard water with high iron content and requires water softening prior to final filtration. As a bonus the price was the lowest I could find anywhere and delivery was fast.

(More customer reviews)These are the standard filters used in many refrigerators like my Whirlpool. They filter all the water used in the ice maker and the in-door water dispenser just as you would expect them to do.
The 3-pack of these is a great maoney saving costing only about $5 more than buying two of them individually.
They only rate about a 4 in the star system because they never last as long as Whirlpool says they should. The owner's manual says about 5-6 months with the sort of use we put them to, and the "change me" light comes on at about the 5 month time, and the water flow through begins to diminish about the same time. But, changing the filter at the 4-month point keeps the water taste top notch. Waiting that extra month or so gives you water that isn't as clean tasting.
Ah, well. At least you save money buying in bulk.

(More customer reviews)I wanted to write this water filter a 4 for frustration because it doesn't come with what I needed to install it. After two trips to the hardware store I successfully installed the water filter and it was worth it. My water in my town taste like crap and my refrigerator water filter doesn't help it still taste bad. This filter is the best for the price so far and as long as it last at least two years it will be worth the money. I think my water now taste like bottled water.

(More customer reviews)Caution, the Water Sentinel WSG-1 product is not a direct replacement for GE MWF water filter. The WSG-1 meets only NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for aesthetic affects, while the MWF also meets Standard 53 for health effects, reducing substances including cysts, lead, and mercury.
Also, the WSG-1 did not fit in my GE Profile refrigerator. I returned the WSG-1 units I ordered.
