(More customer reviews)I've had this wine cooler for a couple of months now. Overall, it does the job it was intended to do. I keep both red and white wines in it, by keeping the temperature at 56F. That's borderline low for red, and borderline high for white, so it's not perfect. But, I was prepared for that because it is a single-zone cooler after all.
My wife and I don't drink that much wine (2 bottles a week, more if we have guests over). I had planned to purchase a second unit, so that we'd have one for red wines, and a separate one for white wines. But, we're happy with the borderline temperature setting so far.
The spacing of the metal racks is barely sufficient for regular-size bottles. We have problems with any wine bottles that are wider or taller than usual, even if they are 750 ml. We end up having to use the space with no racks in order to stack wide bottles directly on top of each other. We can't place any of the longer-necked bottles (some white wines are like that).
My biggest complaint is the fan. It's a lot noisier than I thought, and it seems to cycle on and off very frequently (much noisier and more frequent than our ref). When the house is quiet, it can be disturbing. I have no idea if this cycling will reduce the lifespan of the product.

(More customer reviews)Here's a trick that they probably don't want you to know about.. When your filter stops working, it isn't because the filter itself stopped working. It's because the mechanism inside the filter housing has clicked all the way over and stopped the water flow. If you think your water still tastes good and it probably did right before it stopped flowing on you.. Simply remove the filter like you were going to install a new one.. and the mechanism in the housing resets, then reinstall the filter.
Now you can extend the filter until you wish to replace it. I would recommend replacing it eventually though.

(More customer reviews)I bought my house, and found that the previous owners had done their own kitchen remodel which left a really strange size cutout for the fridge. It took me weeks to find this one which (as far as I can tell) is the only counter depth and narrow refrigerator. Anyway, it is a good fridge. No complaints. The fridge is cool looking, but the only reason that I can think someone would buy this one is for size. If you aren't restricted by size, I would look at a wider fridge.
Good things to know... There is an inline water filter (works good, easy to change), ice maker doesn't take up too much room, the fridge is counter depth (they don't advertise it as such but you can tell by the dimensions and the back is flat). The inside is small but the fridge doesn't look freakishly small. Oh, the ice maker is temperamental; it doesn't bother me but if you love ice this could be a problem.
Almost no one carries these; if you need to "see" it I found a Samsung at the big box retailers that is about the same size. If more than two people live in your house, or you like to buy big soda bottles, etc., maybe take a peek at something with similar dimensions before you buy.

(More customer reviews)Our Electrolux French Door refrigerator with water and ice on the door is OK but not worth the price. The ice maker is a constant problem and we've had it replaced twice and it is still a noisy pain in the neck. I wish we had shopped other brands before we bought this one but we were of the impression that this was the 'best'.
For the money we spent ($3,300.00) I believe we could have done better. Shop carefully before you buy this product!

LG LFX25976SW 24.7 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator - White Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this LG french door refrigerator (with ice & water in the door) in July of 2008. It's design (especially coveted the ice/water shelf for pichers) and energy star standing coupled with price (not bought at Amazon) led to choosing LG. Immediately the ice dispenser began jamming, a regular occurrence onward. I experimented with different size cubes but that had no impact on the jamming. We use the ice dispenser multiple times daily. It soon was clear to me the failing was a design fault not a mechanical failure. We previouly had for 19 years an in the door dispenser that had never once failed-it was an auger type that occupied the top left shelf in the refrigerator. The LG is totally in the door and basically relies on gravity to feed the ice. A few months later we got notice that the Energy Star rating did not apply to this refrigerator after all. LG offered a repair or monthly check up to a total of $170. I wrote back that since they had miss represented the refrigerator and the Energy Star rating was a major factor in my purchase choice I wanted the refrigerator replaced. I never heard back from them. After about 2 years of use the temperature control became erratic. Faced with a joice of repair or replace (and really frustrated with the ice dispenser and their refusal to respond to my request for a replacement refrigerator) I choose to replace the LG. As of last Friday, I own a similar Samsung refrigerator (although is is 4 cubic feet larger inside thru design efficiencies). After realizing LG was not going to respond to my request, I began purging LG possesions. I first got rid of my LG cell phone, replacing it with a Motorola. Next will be my LG Blue Ray player.
